SmCo magnet is a rare earth permanent magnet. It includes SmCo5 (1:5) and Sm2Co17 (2:17).
Compared with neodymium magnets, samarium cobalt magnets have excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. Therefore, they do not require any coating.
Due to its excellent performance, we can hardly see any samarium cobalt magnets in daily necessities. They are mainly used in aerospace, national defense, microwave equipment, communication, medical equipment, instruments, various magnetic transmission equipment, sensors, magnetic processors, voice coil motors, magnetic cranes.
BH (maximum) ranges from 16 MGOe to 32 MGOe. Therefore, it is the only rare earth magnet that can approach low-grade sintered neodymium magnet. At the same time, the high temperature resistance range of SmCo magnets is 250 ~ 350 ℃, and the Curie temperature is 700 ~ 840 ℃. That '; SmCo magnets differ in their high magnetism and high operating temperature.
However, if you need a coating to obtain a good appearance or enhance corrosion resistance, you can coat it with nickel, zinc, gold or epoxy or other coatings.
As for the application of SmCo magnets, due to their good magnetic stability, they are mainly used in very complex working environments. Therefore, they are very suitable for manufacturing various high-performance permanent magnet rotors.
