2. What is a Magnetic Filter Bar?
Magnetic filter bars, also known as magnetic rods or magnetic tubes,the appearance is divided into cylindrical and square tube. The magnet array inside is wrapped in a stainless steel shell, which can form a strong and wide magnetic field. It is widely used in various industrial processes to remove iron impurities from liquids, powders, particles and other materials.They are very important parts in magnetic separators, such as grid magnets and magnetic drawers.


The magnetic filter bar uses powerful neodymium magnets, which have strong magnetic force and are not easily demagnetized. They are permanent magnets commonly used in industry.Neodymium magnets are processed into cylindrical blocks and arranged in stainless steel tubes. Smaller spacing means more adsorption points, larger spacing means fewer adsorption points, and it is generally believed that the more adsorption points, the better.The shell of the magnetic filter bar is made of 316L, a material with excellent corrosion resistance.If you use the bar magnet in an environment where it is exposed to salt water or chemicals, SUS316 is recommended. In fresh water, SUS304 can be used.Depending on the usage scenario, bar magnets have different end face designs, such as threaded holes, threaded rods, rings, cylinders, conical tips, etc.

3. Working Principle
Magnetic filter bars contain powerful neodymium magnets arranged in a specific pattern within the bar. When the magnets are in place, they create a magnetic field that extends outward from the surface of the bar. When the material to be filtered (such as liquids, powders or granular matter) is brought close to the magnetic filter bar, the iron contaminants in the material are attracted by the magnetic force.

It is generally believed that the stronger the magnetic field strength of the magnetic filter bar, the easier it is to capture magnetic substances and the more thoroughly filtered. But the actual filtration efficiency depends on the area affected by the magnetic field, specifically the distance that the magnetic field lines can reach and the total magnetic flux emitted from the surface of the magnetic rod.

High Filtration Efficiency: In our internal tests, the 12000 gauss magnetic bar can finely filter out extremely small fine powders and iron powder, debris, iron filings, and needle-shaped objects. The surface reaches 12000 gauss, which means that the magnetic flux density around the magnetic bar is very strong, and its effective adsorption distance can reach 2-3cm.

Easy Installation and Maintenance: It is very easy to install the bar magnet because its end face is designed with internal threads. You only need to fix the frame and the rod with screws. If you have other application requirements, you can choose an end face design with a threaded rod and a tapered tip. When cleaning the magnetic bar, you can use a soft cotton rag or thick cotton gloves to wrap the magnetic bar from one end and pull it to the other end. Repeat several times to clean the iron impurities adsorbed on the surface of the magnetic bar. When the surface of the magnetic bar is adhered to sticky materials, you can also rinse it with low-temperature hot water. According to the parameters such as the content of iron impurities in the processed material and the material processing volume per hour, the thickness of the powdered iron impurities adsorbed on the surface of the magnetic bar should not exceed 10mm. Clean it regularly and in time to maintain a stable use effect.
